SAMANTHA ODOM

Samantha Odom is a bold color-driven artist living in the high mountains of southern New Mexico. A painter, designer, and creative spirit, she draws inspiration from her vibrant life and surroundings, working from photographs to amplify hues and reimagine familiar landscapes with fresh energy. Beginning with heavy texture, she often draws or carves directly into the surface with her fingers, layering and building color with an intuitive, playful process guided by her mantra, “Don’t be afraid to destroy.” Her signature palette of pinks, purples, and New Mexico turquoise brings a joyful intensity to her work, offering viewers a renewed sense of place. Samantha lives in Cloudcroft, New Mexico, and her work can be found in both public and private collections across southern New Mexico and west Texas. She is a member of the Cloudcroft Art Society and has been featured in Ventanas, The Ink, and local publications for her public mural work.
